本課程將說明科學計算的基本概念，說明如何由微積分、線性代數、機率等方法與理論逐步連結到實際問題求解，並學習如何使用 MATLAB來實作這些方法。 |

This course will present scientific computation relevant to computational science and engineering, with an emphasis on the following topics:
Continuous and statistical modeling
Solving linear and nonlinear equations
Interpolation and approximation
Data mining and machine learning
Scalar and vector field visualization
Numerical differential equations
Numerical optimization
Case studies of interest from various areas of engineering disciplines
